Student Health Awareness Initiative
Skin Cancer Awareness
|
Welcome Students, Schools and Parents to a fundraiser that we hope will encourage potentially life saving habits for life. A fundraiser that is especially for you and your family, one that may one day save a precious life.
Over 400,000 Australians will be diagnosed with non-malignant melanomas this summer.
Everyone of these is at risk of developing into a malignant melanoma.
Hamilton Sunscreen will help you avoid becoming a statistic and raise funds for your school and for Skin Cancer Research.
Together we are striving to find answers for the future, make fundraising count toward the future of your family.
Over 1,300 Aussies Die from Skin Cancer each year.
Skin Cancer accounts for around 83% of all new cancers diagnosed each year in Australia. By taking steps to reduce exposure to UV radiation, you can reduce your risk of developing Skin Cancer. Most people worry about yesterdays sun, but the reality is the sunburn(s) you get as a teenager, or even younger, significantly impact your chances of developing a melanoma in your 20's, 30's and beyond. And don't think that in winter, you can relax; the winter sun can be just as deadly!
Your School, and you, are invited to participate in a unique fundraising activity that will not only benefit your School with essential fundraising, but will also raise both Student and family awareness of the terrible consequences of even relatively minimal unprotected, sun exposure that can in time, lead to Skin Cancer,
Included in the fundraiser is the additional opportunity for you to earn as you learn, but before you go on, we would just like to tell you a little about WHY the National Student Health Awareness Initiative has been launched for you and how you, and your school can WIN simply by participating in all or any of the 3 competitions
