Student Health Awareness Initiative

Most people worry about yesterdays sun, but the reality is the sunburn(s) you get as a teenager, or even younger, significantly impact your chances of developing a melanoma in your 20's, 30's and beyond.  And don't think that in winter, you can relax; the winter sun can be just as deadly!

Your School, and you, are invited to participate in a unique fundraising activity that will not only benefit your School with essential fundraising, but will also raise both Parent and Student awareness of the terrible consequences of even relatively minimal unprotected, sun exposure and Skin Cancer.

Prize Opportunity 1 : Product Code

This is your first opportunity to win a prize, simply enter the unique Hamiltons sunscreen product delivery code found on your delivery docket

Step 1: Log onto our website http://www.nshai.com.au/unique-code.php.
Step 2: Open the Competition drop down menu at the top of the home page.
Step 3: Click onto Unique Code Log and enter your unique product code
As soon as you have done this you may be randomly chosen to receive a prize immediately! It also means that you will be sun safe this summer, well done.

Prize Opportunity 2 : Health Quiz

Go to the Competition drop down, find your age relevant quiz and to enter simply find the answers (within the Health Provider pages) to the questions.

For Primary years select -- Primary Quiz

The remaining questions can be answered by accessing the providers’ own site via the link on their health page. When you have collected all the answers simply click on ‘submit’ and if all your answers are correct, you are automatically in the draw for a Wii sport with Wii fit plus extras. http://www.nintendo.com/wiifit/launch/ plus many other prizes. TIP: Why not print off your quiz sheet so that you can do it in stages while you’re waiting for your sunscreen with code to arrive!

For High School years select -- High School Quiz

When you have all of the answers simply submit your entry to be in the draw for a Playstation 3 HD hardgear plus many other prizes. You will be amazed with how much you will learn along the way. Why not print off your quiz sheet so that you can do it in stages?

For Teaching staff select -- Teacher Quiz

Therefore, should you wish to enlist the help of your students we have no objections. Our ultimate aim is that every participating student gains a lot more awareness about the health issues covered especially Skin Cancer. Anything you can do to help us to achieve that would be wonderful. We hope that your entry is the correct one drawn to win a weekend break for two, somewhere beautiful for you and a friend to recharge and relax.

Ultimately every student and teacher that enters the quiz is a winner simply because, along the way you have learned so much more about both Skin Cancer and the other topics covered. Knowledge is the first step to a healthier and longer life.

Prize Opportunity 3: Create a Poster

The third competition is designed to be fun, and requires you to simply use your creativity to produce an A4 Skin Cancer poster complete with a slogan. It should be designed to encourage us all to be more responsible this summer and of course Skin Cancer Awareness and Sunscreen protection is the message you are sending with your poster.

To enter, simply submit your creative A4 poster. This can be done as a school, class, family or personal project. What we are looking for is one Primary and one Senior winner whose Skin Cancer / Hamiltons Sunscreen message is clear, hard hitting (not too scary) complete with a slogan that will stay in our heads for a long time.

Remember Slip / Slop / Slap can you beat that?

Both you and your school will be in the running to win a major prize in recognition of your creativity. The winners will be notified by phone or email within a week from the date of judging and delivery of the prizes will be organized.

The level of participation will determine the total Prize Pool dollar value. No pre set monetary rewards are in place. Therefore the value of prizes is entirely arrived at by total Hamiltons Sunscreen product sales, so the skies the limit!
